Your Privacy & Pricing: What's Changing on Big Tickets

⚖️ Your Privacy & Pricing: What’s Changing on Big Tickets

We’re making updates to improve your experience and give you more control, while also staying ahead of new government regulations around online pricing and data use.

🍪 Manage Your Cookie Preferences

You’ll now see a “Cookie Settings” button in the bottom left corner of any event page.

This tool lets you control how your data is used while browsing or buying tickets. It's up to you whether you want full personalization or minimal tracking. You can update your preferences anytime by clicking the button.

We’ve placed it out of the way, so it doesn’t interrupt your purchase flow.

💰 Clearer Ticket Pricing

We've launched an update that displays all ticket fees upfront, right next to each ticket type on the event page.

No more surprises at checkout. You’ll be able to see the total price before you start the buying process. Sales tax and shipping or delivery charges are not included but may still appear later in checkout.

🏛️ Why This Is Happening

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has introduced new rules to prevent “junk fees” — hidden charges added late in checkout. Check out their FAQ here.

Starting May 12, 2025, companies like Big Tickets are required to:

  • Show full ticket prices (including fees) upfront
  • Stop adding fees at the last step of checkout
  • Make pricing more transparent and easier to compare

We’re rolling this out early to give you the best, most transparent ticket-buying experience possible.

💡 Why It Matters to You

  • You’ll know exactly what you’re paying before checkout
  • You’ll have more control over your privacy and data
  • You’ll spend less time second-guessing prices or surprises at the last step
